Orthodontic Treatment

Orthodontics is a key branch of dentistry that focuses on correcting teeth and jaws that are positioned improperly. Crooked or misaligned teeth, as well as teeth that don’t fit together correctly, are difficult to clean and maintain, increasing the risk of tooth decay and periodontal disease, which can lead to premature tooth loss. Additionally, misaligned teeth can cause extra stress on the facial muscles responsible for chewing, potentially resulting in headaches, TMJ (temporomandibular joint) problems, and neck, shoulder, and back pain. Furthermore, crooked teeth or teeth that are not in the correct position can prevent you from smiling confidently, potentially leading to low self-esteem.

The main benefits of orthodontic treatment include achieving a healthier, fully functional mouth, having teeth that are more likely to last longer, potentially for a lifetime, and enhancing your appearance to boost your confidence.

A dental specialist in this field of dentistry is called an Orthodontist. To become an Orthodontist, a dentist must complete an additional two or more years of education beyond their regular dental schooling in a specialized orthodontic training program.

METAL BRACES

Metal braces are the most popular and common type of orthodontic treatment. Many of our patients choose different colors for their braces to add a touch of brightness and fun to their smiles, even during treatment. The treatment period varies depending on the severity of the case but typically takes between one to two years to complete.

You may choose to have your braces placed in our clinic and then get them adjusted monthly with a local orthodontist in your country. However, we recommend that you first find an orthodontist who accepts referral cases to ensure the continuity and consistency of your treatment.

ORTHODONTIC SPACER RETAINER

An orthodontic spacer retainer, also known as a Space Maintainer (Bilateral Appliance), is used to hold your teeth in their new and proper positions after orthodontic treatment with braces. Retainers can be either removable or fixed and may feature a wire or appear clear. They are custom-built for each patient and prescribed by our dentists to meet your specific needs. Our orthodontist will provide detailed instructions on how long you will need to wear your retainers and how to care for them properly.

Like metal braces, treatment with an orthodontic spacer retainer requires periodic adjustments and monthly follow-up checkups to ensure its effectiveness and to maintain your oral health.

DAMON® SYSTEM

The Damon® System offers more than just advanced braces and wires; it represents a revolutionary approach to orthodontic treatment. This system features self-ligating appliances, which have been proven to reduce treatment time, deliver exceptional results, and significantly enhance patient comfort. Additionally, the Damon® System is designed to improve your overall facial aesthetics. Our certified Damon® System dentist utilizes three key components to achieve outstanding results, ensuring a faster treatment period, fewer appointments, and greater comfort.

MAIN FEATURES:

Passive self-ligating braces eliminate the need for metal or elastic “ties,” allowing you to straighten your teeth without the discomfort of frequent tightening.
Light and state-of-the-art memory wires allow your teeth to move faster and require fewer adjustments compared to traditional metal brackets.
This clinically-proven approach straightens your teeth and enhances your facial aesthetics, all without the need for tooth extractions or rapid palatal expanders.
